Position Overview
Core One is seeking a results-oriented Business Development Manager to expand our presence within the Intelligence Community (IC). This role is pivotal in identifying, capturing, and managing opportunities that align Core One’s advanced capabilities with the mission-critical needs of IC agencies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IC priorities, acquisition processes, and a proven ability to drive strategic business growth in this domain.
Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and capture new business opportunities within the Intelligence Community that align with Core One’s strategic goals and capabilities.
- Develop and execute tailored market strategies to address the IC’s operational and analytical requirements, leveraging Core One’s existing programs and expertise.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with IC stakeholders, including senior leadership, acquisition officials, and program managers, to shape requirements and acquisition strategies.
- Lead strategic engagements with IC decision-makers, showcasing Core One’s solutions and capabilities for addressing national security challenges.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including program managers and executives, to develop capture plans and proposal efforts targeted at IC opportunities.
- Prepare and submit responses to IC-issued RFIs, market surveys, and RFPs, ensuring compliance with requirements and alignment with mission priorities.
- Present business opportunities during Core One’s gate review process, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and resource allocation.
- Establish partnerships within the federal contracting community to facilitate teaming and collaboration for IC-focused pursuits.
Required Skills
- Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for upgrade to SCI.
- Experience:
- 7+ years in DoD/Intelligence Community contracting, with at least 5 years of program/portfolio management or business development experience.
- In-depth understanding of the Intelligence Community’s mission, structure, and acquisition processes.
- Demonstrated success with IDIQ vehicles, such as INSCOM GISS and SIA 3, and proven ability to capture competitive opportunities.
- Proven track record of leading federal proposal efforts exceeding $25M in value.
- Expertise in aligning technical and operational capabilities with IC mission priorities.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging IC senior leadership and acquisition personnel effectively.
- Ability to develop compliant and competitive capture strategies tailored to IC requirements.
- Proficiency in integrating competitive intelligence and price-to-win analysis into proposals.
- Extensive network within the Intelligence Community and related federal contracting ecosystem.
