Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager with a focus on expanding Core One’s business opportunities within the U.S. Space Force, the Defense Intelligence Enterprise, and the broader Intelligence Community. This role is essential for fostering relationships with key Space Force stakeholders and aligning Core One’s capabilities with mission-critical requirements in space operations and national security.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the Space Force and related federal markets that align with Core One’s strategy, market position, and expertise.
- Develop and execute tailored market access strategies, leveraging Core One’s existing programs, contracts, and relationships within the Space Force and Intelligence Community.
- Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with industry stakeholders to facilitate strategic teaming for opportunity pursuits.
- Collaborate with program managers, executives, and functional staff to drive business development, capture, and proposal efforts targeted at Space Force missions.
- Engage directly with senior Space Force decision-makers and acquisition officials to shape acquisition strategies and influence requirements development.
- Lead corporate responses to Space Force-issued RFIs, market surveys, and Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
- Present business opportunities to Core One’s gate review team and lead the pursuit-to-capture transition.
- Provide thought leadership in space operations and national security trends to refine Core One’s market strategy.
Required Skills
- Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance
- Experience:
- 7+ years in DoD/Intelligence Community contracting, including 5+ years of program/portfolio management or business development experience.
- Direct experience engaging with Space Force, Defense Intelligence Agency, and related Service Intelligence components.
- Proficiency with a variety of DOD IDIQ vehicles
- Proven ability to lead competitive federal proposal efforts exceeding $25M in value.
- Deep understanding of space operations, Combatant Commands (CCMDs), and their intelligence and operational requirements.
- Skills:
- Strong presentation development skills and ability to engage senior Space Force and Intelligence Community officials.
- Capability to create and execute capture strategies, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements and alignment with Space Force mission needs.
- Experience integrating competitive intelligence and price-to-win analysis into proposal strategies.
- Extensive professional network within the Defense Intelligence and Space Force business ecosystem.
