As a SERE Deputy Program Manager, you'll lead instructional activities in various settings, ensuring alignment with SERE principles and DoD policies. Your role involves overseeing operational training, managing the Quality Control Program, and liaising with Government Quality Assurance. Additionally, you'll supervise training support efforts, assess student performance, and employ diverse learning techniques. The position requires adaptability to challenging conditions, nonstandard hours, and occasional travel, while contributing to team growth through guidance and coaching.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting instruction during individual, small and large group laboratory settings as it relates to the principles of SERE and procedures supporting DoD policy, guidance, and the Code of Conduct.
- Oversee all operational training executed in support of this contract.
- The DPM shall be responsible for the Contractor’s Quality Control Program, and act as liaison with Government Quality Assurance personnel on matters relating to Contract employee performance and evaluations.
- Oversee training support efforts and contract personnel training and progression.
- Conducting training events and assessing student performance during the learning processes.
- Use blended learning techniques such as eLearning tools, lectures, classroom discussions, team exercises, readings, case studies, role-play, and demonstrations of required skills through work-related tasks.
- Duties may include developing training materials, coordinating, and resourcing training events.
- May provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees to support team growth.
- Duties will require a willingness and ability to work in austere conditions, nonstandard hours, and occasional weekends. Limited short-duration CONUS travel may also be required.
Qualifications:
- Secret level Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret Level.
- Graduate from an approved DoD SERE Level C High Risk Course.
- Minimum of 4 years of services from any military branch, having attained the minimum grade of E-5 within their respective military branch, and an honorable discharge.
- Minimum 5 years of documented and verifiably successful management experience.
- Minimum 1 year working as a current contract team leader at the USAJFKSWCS SERE-C course.
- Successful experience in training SERE instructors to conduct individual and group training events.
- Must pass a human-factors /psychological screening.
- Must pass an individual practical skills assessment.
- Experience delivering courseware materials that meet specific learning objectives.
- Ability to facilitate learning through effective presentation skills.
- Sound working knowledge and proficiency in the use of instructional methodologies (informal lecture, guided discussion, and role play) to present information and dilemmas.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor, be team oriented and work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be operationally flexible, adaptable, and possess excellent communication skills.
- Must possess the ability to learn and teach advanced technical skills.
- Operational experience in Personnel Recovery, SERE, or Special Operations.
