Do you want to help make the world safe from cyber attack?

Corelight is a cybersecurity company that transforms network and cloud activity into evidence. Elite defenders use this evidence to hunt for threats, accelerate response to cyber incidents, and create powerful analytics using machine learning and behavioral analysis tools. Our technology defends some of the worlds largest, most mission-critical organizations. To do so we build heavily on open-source technology, particularly Zeek, a mature network security monitoring application used by thousands of cybersecurity experts around the globe. Our founding team includes the inventor of Zeek, all of Zeek's core developers are Corelight employees, and Corelight is the custodian of the Zeek project. See this short video for an introduction.

  • Experience using and managing web platforms such as Discourse, WordPress, and Slack.
  • Experience planning and managing events, such as user group meetings, workshops, and conferences.
  • Being comfortable working with a globally distributed team. Corelight team members, Zeek developers, and open source software users are scattered across the planet!
  • Facilitating complex and sensitive community management situations with humility, judgment, tact, and humor.
  • Working independently and autonomously, managing multiple priorities and competing interests.
  • Technical writing skills, to include editing content of sites like www.zeek.org and docs.zeek.org are a plus.

A note on experience

We understand that no candidate is perfectly qualified for any job. Experience comes in different forms. Many skills are transferable, and passion goes a long way. This role in particular can grow into many directions, including technical ones that are hands-on with Zeek.

Even more important than your resume is a clear demonstration of dedication, impact, and the ability to thrive in a fluid and collaborative environment. We want you to learn new things in this role, and we encourage you to apply if your experience is close to what we're looking for. We also know that diversity of background and thought makes for better problem-solving and creative thinking, which is why we're dedicated to adding new perspectives to our team.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
