We are seeking a very talented, resourceful, and collaborative person to join and help grow our Customer Education team. We build, maintain, and deliver multi-day courses with the intention of developing world class Corelight operators.  Today, that means focusing on optimizing content and training delivery in an effective and customer success-focused manner.  The role’s main focus will be assisting customers to understand our cybersecurity products and how to apply Corelight in an actionable manner. A strong candidate will have training and operational experience with incident response and threat hunting tools and processes.  This person can succinctly describe cybersecurity attacks and risks, articulate Corelight's technology and unique ability to provide data, and demonstrate how Corelight data uniquely gives defenders the advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Help customers improve their cybersecurity posture
  • Update our curriculum to reflect new features and use cases based on realistic and recent network-based attacks
  • Develop recorded, on-demand curriculum
  • Be available to deliver training in person and virtually
  • Administration and optimization of Learning Management Systems (knowing Skilljar is a plus)
  • Educate students on use and application of Corelight for threat hunting and incident response
  • Innovation of training products
  • Lead lab-based exercises like Capture the Flag (CTF)
  • Explain our technology and the cybersecurity space
  • Influence others and be seen as a technical expert

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in cybersecurity required
  • 5+ years experience in a technical educational role (training, content creation etc)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong background in cybersecurity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Create educational plans and materials to implement the plans: videos, courses, capture the flag exercises
  • Zeek log experience and log analysis skills are a plus
  • Suricata or Snort experience and rules creation are a plus
  • Network administration, firewall configuration, and strong knowledge of TCP/IP
  • Windows/MacOS/Linux/Unix administration experience
  • Scripting in (some of) Bro/Zeek, Bash, Python, Perl, Powershell, etc.
  • Up to 50% travel expected
  • Prior startup experience preferred
