The Associate Director, Scientific Content Development will create and develop content to support the Endocrinology Medical Affairs department in their interactions with internal/external audiences. They will be accountable for the management and prioritization of workload to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Develops unbranded disease state and/or branded/product-specific scientific/clinical content (e.g., slide decks, publications, training materials, monographs) for engagement and education with internal (MSL team, marketing and other Corcept groups) and external (health care professionals) audiences
- Maintains Medical Affairs knowledge on the forefront: Conducts ongoing literature reviews; extracts complex data from scientific literature; manages the data in an organized format
- Ensures the development of scientific content is relevant, accurate, and aligns with the Medical Communications strategy
- Participates in medical meetings and advisory boards to gather insights and contribute to the development of scientific content
- Manages the submission process for Veeva
- Conducts expert medical review of branded and unbranded materials to ensure accuracy, scientific balance, and compliance with internal and external guidelines, requirements, and federal regulations
- Maintains significant therapeutic area and product expertise through ongoing assessment of relevant published literature, treatment guidelines, internal resources, and data
- Leads and contributes to planning for new product launches, line extensions, and key data releases, as applicable
- Contributes to interdepartmental projects and supports the provision of medical, scientific, and technical information regarding Corcept’s products
- As applicable, creates and implements departmental SOPs regarding processes and procedures necessary to achieve organizational objectives and for complying with government regulations and company policy
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to inform, educate, and influence various individuals/audiences.
- Must be proficient in MS Office (PPT, Word, Excel); experienced with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Able to synthesize and clearly communicate information to multiple stakeholders with diverse needs in a timely fashion.
- Intellectually curious and consistently addresses gaps in the knowledge of self and internal/external stakeholders.
- Flexible, initiative-taking, resourceful, and able to work independently to manage priorities and achieve results in dynamic and ambiguous environments.
- Experienced collaborator who works well with cross-functional leaders and associates to resolve conflicts and achieve common “Team” objectives
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Advanced degree in health sciences, pharmacy, or public health is preferred
- 8+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Medical Affairs, Medical Communications, and/or Training role
- Experience in endocrinology is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to analyze complex scientific/clinical data
- Proven ability and experience in data visualization
- Proven project and partner/vendor management skills to achieve results based on key performance indicators
The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this headquarters-based position is $181,000 - $212,900; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
