Senior Systems Engineer (Cloud Ops), APJ

Location: New Zealand (Remote working- Work from home)

Copperleaf is growth company expanding its client SaaS offering. The Cloud Operations team is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to help us operate the service as well as ensuring its reliability and manageability as it grows.

As a Senior CloudOps Engineer, you will be involved in the following:

  • Executing and leading projects with full delivery, advancing our service offering and infrastructure.
  • Mentoring junior team members.
  • Operational tasks, including incident and problem management, client support, and ensuring the timely deployment and successful execution of the Copperleaf product suite. This involves troubleshooting issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
  • Collaboratively contributing to the development of infrastructure health monitoring and reporting.
  • Implementing best practice procedures for deployment and automation.
  • Documenting and identifying failure modes related to hosted solutions.
  • Innovating new strategies to manage site reliability.

 We are seeking applicants with extensive knowledge of cloud technologies and solutions:

  • At least 5 years of experience working in development, engineering, QA, and/or IT operations team(s) with a focus on programming and scripting of solutions to manage systems automation and cloud infrastructure reliability.
  • Proven experience building, operating and supporting high availability, secure, complex customer-facing systems at scale in a 24x7 environment.
  • Proficiency in higher-level languages (e.g., Python, Java, NodeJS).
  • AWS, Azure, Linux, Windows, and networking fundamentals.
  • Significant experience in configuration and maintenance of applications such as web servers, load balancers, Oracle databases, and cloud environments.
