Copperleaf’s enterprise software helps some of the world’s largest energy firms make better strategic decisions. We have a track record of delivering award-winning, industry-changing solutions. Join our team as we continue to enable our clients to build more resilient and sustainable infrastructure.

A cross-functional team working on Copperleaf’s core product, Copperleaf Suite, is looking for a talented senior engineer to join the team, contribute directly, and mentor their teammates. You would be working on the backend system that runs the Value Framework. The Value Framework is a collection of custom decision-making algorithms specific to each client. A key focus is enabling Value Framework Developers to easily modify their Value Framework. Expect to work on projects such as making it easier to work with customer data, simplifying framework upgrades and migrations, providing better debugging tools, and improving testability. You can also expect to work on large architectural projects as we tackle performance and security challenges with the Value Framework. You will also work closely with several other development teams.

  • Work closely with Value Framework Development teams to understand their pain points and develop new features to mitigate them
  • Collaborate with other development teams on cross-product initiatives
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members
  • Maintain and expand a test suite that covers Value Framework functionality
  • Remove performance bottlenecks in the Value Framework
  • Secure the Value Framework against potential attacks that could compromise Copperleaf or its Clients

 Your background:

  • Can work independently or in a small cross-functional team
  • Good communication skills and comfortable talking with developers from other teams
  • Knowledge of development methodologies and releases lifecycle
  • Familiar with Agile development
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Git
  • Familiar with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of Angular and/or AngularJS is a plus

About you:

  • You’re a team player and enjoy working in a dynamic environment
  • You understand and know how to communicate complex technical issues
  • You’re focused on product-centric rather than technology-centric development
  • You have an eye for detail in design, coding, and review
  • You’re self-motivated, flexible, pragmatic, proactive, and able to handle a variety of tasks
  • You’re a great team member and act with respect, courtesy, and discretion

We're not hung up on how much experience you may have with a specific programming language or technology. However, we like to see skill, passion and creativity in the work and projects you've completed.
