Overview

CR is currently seeking a Manager Strategy & Planning to join our Strategy Planning team.  The Manager, Strategy & Planning will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of key initiatives, ensuring high-quality strategic planning and adaptive management to ensure enterprise alignment and results. You will work closely with a range of leaders and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, analyze market trends, support choice-making, develop actionable plans to drive growth and impact, and optimize performance to achieve ambitious goals across CR’s priority portfolios such as Car, Home, Baby and Digital Marketplace. In addition, they will support ongoing monitoring and learning efforts in order to better determine strategies for success and to build a culture of candor and continuous improvement. They will also be responsible for other projects that aim to improve CR’s overall performance and strategic capacity.

Under our CRFlex program, this is a hybrid position and is eligible for remote work up to 80%. The successful candidate must reside within 75 miles of our main office location in Yonkers New York or New York City.

How you'll make an Impact:

As Manager, Strategy & Planning you will be responsible for driving Initiatives in a Social Enterprise. You'll support critical strategy and planning projects across CR’s priority portfolios—Car, Home, Baby, and Digital Marketplace. Your work will be pivotal in ensuring these projects are aligned with our mission as a social enterprise to create a safer, more sustainable, and fair marketplace. By closely partnering with Priority Area and Functional team leads, y ou will facilitate the identification and exploitation of opportunities that drive growth and enhance impact.

In this role you will provide actionable insights utilizing your expertise in data analysis and market research, you'll assess potential opportunities and make informed recommendations that steer strategic decisions. Your ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights will be crucial in guiding CR’s strategic direction and optimizing performance to achieve ambitious objectives, supporting both established and new business models.

You will support and facilitate regular cross-functional meetings, creating a cohesive environment where relevant information is shared effectively and efficiently. Your efforts will help build strong connective tissue between relevant teams, standardize data requests and processes, and enable alignment with CR’s strategic plan, ensuring all teams are working toward common goals.

Through your role in learning and adaptive management, you’ll support ongoing impact data collection, analysis, and projection efforts. By maintaining high data quality and identifying trends, you will inform strategic planning and continuous organizational improvement. You will help CR capitalize on learnings, address missed opportunities, and enhance future projects.

Fair Pay & A Just Workplace

At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. The target salary range for this position is $130k to $145k. This posted range is reflective of the NY/CA market. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. Compensation for the successful candidate will be informed by the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
