The position involves accurate forecasting, pipeline generation, prospecting, developing, and closing business opportunities promptly, all while prioritizing and addressing the unique requirements of our clients.  As our first in-market APAC sales asset, you will be in a unique position to shape the future of consumer data analytics for investors as you develop a client portfolio in the region. If you are competitive, tactical and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we invite you to be a key player in our International growth journey.

Responsibilities

  • Lead generation and prospecting: Identify and source potential clients through various channels, conduct market research to target industries and companies, and proactively initiate contact.
  • Pipeline management: Develop and manage a sales pipeline, prioritizing leads for successful partnerships and maintaining accurate CRM information.
  • Client engagement and relationship building: Establish relationships with key decision-makers, conduct presentations to demonstrate value, and tailor offerings to client needs to successfully penetrate and further expand our relationships with new customers.
  • Proposal development: Collaborate with internal teams to create customized proposals, articulating benefits, and pricing of data analytics solutions.
  • Negotiation and closing: Lead client negotiations, work with legal teams for contract finalization, and close deals.
  • Managing a Book of Business: Build and maintain a systematic business strategy to drive new logo growth, displace competitors, accurately forecast your expectations to management, execute on strategic initiatives of the firm and consistently outperform versus quota goals. The management of your new accounts, including identifying, negotiating, and closing upsell and cross-sell opportunities, will be your responsibility for the first 12 months of life of the new logos.
  • Market intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market insights to refine sales strategies.
  • Collaboration with internal teams: Collaborate with management, marketing, product development, insights, customer success and solutions teams for a unified client acquisition and retention approach.
  • Post sales support: Ensure a smooth handover to the customer success team post-sale and a positive onboarding experience for clients.
  • Documentation and reporting: Maintain detailed records of client interactions and provide regular sales activity and forecast reports.

Qualifications

  • A B.S. or B.A. from a top institution
  • 5+ years' experience in prospective sales with a successful track record of securing new logos and exceeding sales targets (a must)
  • 3+ years focus on alternative data solutions for Financial Services clients (a must)
  • Proficiency in the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure. Experience in Salesforce and Excel, along with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of alternative data solutions targeting Buy-Side Investors, including industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics.
  • An existing network and quality reputation amongst the APAC investment community.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and nurturing relationships with corporate clients, establishing trust and credibility with decision-makers.
  • Effective negotiation skills for reaching beneficial agreements, with professional handling of objections and conflicts.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to identify client needs and tailor solutions, with creativity in overcoming sales challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing, product development, insights, and customer success.
  • High ethical standards and integrity in all dealings with clients and colleagues.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
