The role you'll play: 

The Consumer Edge Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, cleaning, building, and supporting scalable data products built on our large, alternative datasets. The Data Analyst is a quick study who can grok complex topics without much handholding. Creative and innately curious, they will chase down promising lines of analysis and dig into unexpected results, while always keeping the big picture goals in mind.

Your main responsibilities: 

  • Analyze a diverse array of large alternative datasets for insights and signal
  • Clean and add structure to semi-structured and unstructured data
  • Develop and apply data normalization and panelization methods to correct for inherent biases in each dataset
  • Combine multiple datasets into predictive models
  • Design and build scalable data products in concert with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Financial Analysts
  • Develop creative and intuitive ways to visually present data insights to clients
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the CAO

You will be successful in this role if you have: 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Expert in using SQL to analyze and organize multiple large datasets
  • Experience with data modeling and statistical backtesting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to readily translate between technical and non-technical audiences
  • Interest in consumer and retail behavior across the globe
  • Ability to juggle multiple, rapidly evolving projects

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 1+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
  • Experience in finance, tech, fin-tech and/or a quickly growing start-up
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
