We have an opening for an exceptional Principal Engineer - Data to join our real-time data engineering team! As a technical leader, you'll be responsible for driving innovation and improvement in our real-time data-related infrastructure and workflows powering direct digital marketing product features for our customers. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge solutions that meet the company's business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and lead the implementation of complex data-related projects, leveraging expertise in our tech stack of AWS cloud, Clickhouse/ElasticSearch, Flink, and Dagster.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify areas for optimization, improvement, and innovation in our data infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of emerging technologies that can address pressing technical challenges or enhance existing workflows.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on data-related topics.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical capabilities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring knowledge sharing across teams.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on data infrastructure and processing (e.g., ETL pipelines, data warehousing).
- Experience with OLAP databases and performance considerations
- Strong understanding of AWS services (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda), Clickhouse, ElasticSearch, Flink (stream data processing), and Dagster (batch data processing).
- Proficiency in Python and Java programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
