As a Software Engineering Manager at Constant Contact, you’ll play a pivotal role in steering the software engineering teams towards achieving ambitious milestones, while maintaining a culture of quality, creativity, and continuous learning.

As the manager of this frontend development team, you will work collaboratively with marketing to provide an intuitive CMS that empowers quick and strategic site updates. Together, you'll drive A/B testing and leverage analytics for impactful user engagement, ensuring the site attracts and retains a growing audience with its stellar performance and navigability.

What you'll do:

  • Lead, mentor, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and inclusive collaboration within a talented group of software engineers
  • Modernize our tech stack and engineering practices by leveraging the latest technologies and methodologies to address our challenges efficiently
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvements in both process and technology
  • Create a conducive environment for learning and growth, aiding in your team members' personal and professional development
  • Lead and participate in technical discussions and decisions, ensuring the right stakeholders are involved and well-informed
  • Advocate for clean code, robust design, and efficient solutions to complex challenges 

Who you are:

  • A robust track record of steering software engineering teams to deliver exceptional software punctually, reflecting both managerial excellence and technical prowess
  • Expertise in crafting a positive, open, and accountable team atmosphere that thrives on transparency and collaboration
  • Command over modern front-end technologies, with a particular focus on React and TypeScript to create responsive and engaging user interfaces
  • Proficiency in progressive web app technologies, including Next.js or Gatsby, that underpin the dynamic and fast-loading web experiences our users love
  • Practical knowledge of web performance and security services such as Cloudflare, safeguarding our site's reliability and user trust
  • In-depth experience with Content Management Systems, particularly with platforms like Contentful, enhancing the agility of content deployment and site management
  • Familiarity with a suite of marketing tools — from Tealium to Google Analytics to Optimizely — to weave analytical insights into the fabric of our decision-making processes
  • A solid grasp of A/B testing paradigms and content personalization techniques, using data to sculpt experiences that resonate with our audience on a personal level

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education and work location. In addition, some roles may be eligible for additional on target commission pay or bonus. The compensation package includes health and welfare benefits including paid leave.
