General Summary:

The Principal Security Lead is responsible for responsible for providing security solutions, project and process

management, and partner satisfaction tracking. This role works in partnership with the Security Services teams to

provide architecture and roadmaps for incorporating infrastructure security devices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Establishes operational plans for the Security team
  • Develops and implements new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans that will have an
  • impact on the achievement of functional results
  • Provides support to the Security Services teams, with a high attention to detail
  • May require communication with ConnectWise leadership
  • Coordinates the delivery of security services among different program activities
  • Identifies and evaluates the security risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action
  • to control the risks
  • Assists in the creation and execution of security solutions strategies across partners, vertical
  • diversification, and leadership initiatives including KPIs, project timelines, and resource requirements
  • Assists with cultivating social impact, social enterprise investments/relationships, and alignment with the
  • organization's product development strategy
  • Engages key stakeholders through presentations, reports, and serves as a point of contact for the Sales
  • Team within the Security Services team
  • Works closely with internal stakeholders to initiate, manage and elevate relationships with potential and
  • existing partners, especially marketing, programs, development, events and communications
  • departments
  • Enforces compliance and auditing of security policies and procedures

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  • Ability to manage large projects and processes independently with limited supervision
  • Recognized expert in applicable work area
  • Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business partner requirements
  • Professional presence suitable for interaction in meetings, in-person, or via email
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to think critically with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of the Managed Service Provider and Managed Security Service Provider industries
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity controls and frameworks
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while delivering accurate and timely deliverables 

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Managed Threat Detection (MDR) and Security Information and Event Management

(SIEM) solutions

  • Experience with Information Security and Data Privacy compliance such as GDPR, HIPAA, CMMC, etc.

• Preferred: Information Security certifications such as Security+, SSCP, etc.

Working Conditions:

- Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location

- 0-10% travel may be required
