Job Summary

The Manager of Quality Assurance will be responsible for all Quality aspect of our products and developing the Manufacturing team. There will be heavy focus on employee development, safety, process, training and maintaining production schedules to meet production goals and company objectives. The Quality Assurance Manager will work cross functionally with other departments including offsite installations to achieve company contractual commitments and goals. Other objectives will be developing team and processes for company growth and scale.

 

What you will do

· Lead the Quality Assurance team in providing resources and labor services to internal and external customers by meeting product delivery goals that align with Connect Homes strategic objectives.

· Oversee Quality Management efforts with emphasis on; Inspections, Quality Findings, Quality Escapes, Quality improvements, Root Cause and Corrective action to meet project budget and minimize project cash flow during build cycles.

· Foster and maintain interdepartmental relationships in a fair and ethical manner.

· Develop long term Quality strategic plans that will provide value to the company in the form of quality, on-time delivery, cost, risk reduction, etc.

· Assist in development and maintain of an annual quality operational budget that strategically aligns with short- and long-term company objectives. Measure against and reforecast as necessary for company alignment.

· Develop and implement a process for providing KPI’s and performance analysis that support continuous improvement, ultimately developing measurement methods and metrics that support company growth and scalability.

· Recommend long term staffing plans and skills metrics.

· Develop training program that meets workplace and guideline safety principle.

· Further develop the organization structure to expand with future company scale in mind.

· Management of Quality inspectors that support daily manufacturing inspections and document.

· Develop, maintain a Quality Management System, QMS

· Manage and provide metrics of supplier Quality performance, Quality score cards.

· Participate in risk management efforts.

· Support Site installations with documentation and inspectors as needed.

· Provide leadership and mentorship for the team posturing individuals for growth and future department/company expansion.

· Provide feedback and ideas for improvement of the company’s quality procedures as it relates to Quality or other areas.

· Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives.

· Performs other duties as required.

 

What you will bring

· Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Architecture Engineering, Product Development/production or minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in similar field.

· Minimum 5 years leading teams and Quality related projects.

· Directly managed staff of 3+ employees, including performance evaluations, career path development, team growth and performance management.

· Experience with MRP/ERP and PLM software; previous experience with NetSuite or Oracle-based products a plus.

· Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced skill level in Excel

· Competent in Quality Assurance methodologies, principles, and practices

· Experience in supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment

· Excellent written verbal communication skills with ability to articulate to leadership

· Ability to plan methodically with intent, employing strategic critical thinking

· Proven ability to multitask, problem solve and recommend solutions

· Travel 10% - 15%, travel is primarily local

 

Nice to Haves

· Experience in general housing construction, single family residential

· Experience in Aerospace or Automotive industries

· Experience in AS9100 or ISO Process

· Knowledge of construction materials and suppliers

· Continuous improvement and process development

· Field Wire software experience

· Master’s degree
