We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join the UA Run + Fitness Team. The Senior Product Designer is an instrumental role in the discovery and execution of digital experiences for mobile and web products. This role is expected to deliver on user experience strategy/development,  visual interface design, and help lead more junior designers. The preferred candidate has experience in both web and app-based projects, with a particular proficiency with a focus on native mobile app design. Ideally, you’ll understand both user goals and business needs to create stories, architecture, flows, and wireframes across user interfaces that help people accomplish their goals. Also, achieving memorable and beautiful experiences.

You'll report to a Creative Director or Design Manager and be working collaboratively in a creative environment with business owners, product managers, designers, copywriters, and developers. Your role is to ensure that consumer's goals and requirements are captured, communicated, and satisfied. You will be responsible and should understand working with agile design and development methodologies.

This position is based in the Under Armour Connected Fitness headquarters in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience in both web and app-based products, with a proficiency in mobile design (iOS and Android)
  • Assist with user research and competitive analysis
  • Generate and translate abstract concepts into simple and elegant user experiences and interfaces that satisfy both business and user needs
  • Create concept models, user interface sketches, experience diagrams, and detailed schematics
  • Lead process and people, enabling the team to produce their best work
  • Socialize and present design solutions and rationale to the team and key stakeholders

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 4-6 years of experience. You’ll be held accountable for the design and execution of design tracks within digital products, working with peer partners, and designers on the team.
  • Experience in both web and app-based products, with a proficiency in mobile design (iOS and Android)
  • Best-in-class project deliverables (concepts, designs, schematics, flows etc.)
  • Proficiency in interaction design discipline
  • Best-in-class information architecture, interaction models, user flows, interaction patterns, annotations, etc.
  • Experience with conducting user research and usability studies (both formal and guerrilla-style) and generating insights through synthesis
  • Able to understand the conceptual basis of a brand and how it should inform the design
  • Experience adhering to and developing style and identity guidelines
  • Expert with Adobe CS Creative Suite and related tools
  • Experience using Sketch and prototyping tools
  • Understands the value of the latest design trends (responsive design, mobile first, etc.)
  • Experience working with Designers, Art Directors, Content Strategists, Developers, and Copywriters
  • Eager to solicit feedback from real users and teammates
  • Sketching/drawing skills a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, HCI, or equivalent experience
