About the Job

We have an immediate need for a General Manager to lead AZ state Operations. This position calls for a unique blend of leadership, operational and technical prowess, data-driven analysis, and a desire for continuous operational improvement and product distribution in Arizona. The General Manager of Operations will lead all trimming, packaging, soft goods procurement, third party manufacturing, and lab testing.  The ideal candidate excels in a fast paced and dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of operational organization and high-touch leadership.

 

What You Will Do

  • Play a key role as a Head of the local leadership team, implementing the company’s vision and mission.
  • Provide leadership for the facility in all areas of: Facilities Management, Production, Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Testing, People Operations, and Operational Excellence. 
  • Responsible for managing all facility upgrades, improvements, and associated vendor selection and negotiations to ensure the facility meets all building requirements.
  • Partner with Cultivation Leadership to communicate impacts to supply thoroughly and in a timely manner, and mitigate any impacts to production or quality as needed.
  • Manage Legal & Compliance matters internally and in conjunction with SOPs outlined by Connected’s General Counsel and Compliance Leadership.  
  • Be responsible for verifying that the facility achieves its monthly, quarterly and annual supply plans, implementation of key programs, compliance with all KPIs and SOP Standards. 
  • Uphold all SOPs and KPIs which require extensive use of standardized procedures, processes, technologies and equipment and will require close collaboration with other members of the local LT implementing agreed strategies in the facility. 
  • Lead, manage, and develop direct reports toward the effort of expanding the business.  Confirm that each department is focused on the right problems, and is equipped and unblocked to solve these challenges.  Celebrate the wins and learn from the losses.
  • Ensure that the facility is working collaboratively with key stakeholders (including all Operating Units and in conjunction with Cultivation Leadership) with a customer focused mind-set to satisfy customers with highest quality and continuous supply at the optimum cost.
  • Build and execute the roadmap for Arizona  - Gather information from our executive team and from the front lines to formulate the strategic roadmap for increased revenue and profitability.  Through your directs, lead the planning process for Arizona.  Battle to improve our key operational metrics by introducing and tracking new processes, introducing creative solutions to problems, and encouraging the team to flex their operational prowess.
  • Manage local third party vendors to ensure end product quality and timing align with supply planning.
  • Ensure QTY of materials on hand allow for continuous supply while also being mindful of reducing waste and excessive spend.
  • Partner with  Sales Leadership  to meet demand goals accurately and on time,  and communicate and impact these goals promptly.
  • Lead strategic weekly and monthly meetings, communicate progress to goals, wins, opportunities in conjunction with standard KPIs and company vision overall.

EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will have a BS, BA or MBA, with 5 plus years experience across Management Consulting, Manufacturing Leadership, Successful & High-Volume Restaurant Management and/or an operational leadership role within a fast-growing company.  
At least 7-years people management or leadership experience
A track-record of building high performance teams and growing leaders
Professional certifications in personnel management, operations management, data analysis or supply chain management may be very useful
