About the Position
Conduit Power is on a path to supplement our Nation’s power generation system with reliable and dispatchable generation in ways that reduces carbon footprint and accelerates the transition to clean, renewable energy.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Development Manager (PDM) to join our dynamic team. As a Project Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing energy projects leveraging gas reciprocating engines and battery energy storage systems. You will:
- Identify and evaluate potential energy project opportunities involving gas reciprocating engines and battery energy storage systems, including greenfield developments, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Conduct market research, feasibility studies, and financial analyses to assess the viability and profitability of energy projects, considering factors such as resource availability, regulatory environment, economic incentives, and financial risks.
- Develop project proposals, business plans, and financing structures to secure project funding and investment partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, regulatory agencies, and local stakeholders to navigate the permitting, regulatory, and approval process for energy projects.
- Manage project development activities, including site selection, land acquisition, interconnection agreements, environmental assessments, and engineering design.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors to develop project specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules.
- Negotiate contracts, agreements, and off-take arrangements with suppliers, customers, utilities, and other project stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution and compliance with project milestones, budgets, and deadlines.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, investors, and project stakeholders on project status, milestones, and performance metrics.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities and optimize project outcomes.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Must be able to legally work in the United States of America.
- A minimum of 5-7 years experience in project development, environmental and interconnection studies.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in project development, preferably in the renewable energy, power generation, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of energy markets, project finance, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements related to energy project development.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to conduct financial modeling, risk analysis, and valuation of energy projects.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience managing cross-functional project teams and external consultants to achieve project objectives and milestones.
- Proficiency in project management tools, financial modeling software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of gas reciprocating engines, battery energy storage systems, and renewable energy technologies is a plus.
- Strong time management and digital technology skills

Houston, TX (preferred, but will consider remote with 50% travel)
Target Comp Range:
$135,000 to $155,000 base salary + bonus, depending on experience
