About the Position

Conduit Power is on a path to supplement our Nation’s power generation system with reliable and dispatchable generation in ways that reduces carbon footprint and accelerates the transition to clean, renewable energy.

We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer (AE) to oversee the execution of construction projects related to reciprocating engines and battery energy storage systems at Conduit Power. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will:

  • Collaborate with customers and partners to understand their technical requirements and application needs for reciprocating engines and battery energy storage systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the sales process, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver technical training sessions and workshops for customers, partners, and internal teams on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our products.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, performance analyses, and system simulations to assess the suitability and performance of our products for specific applications and use cases.
  • Work closely with engineering and product development teams to gather customer feedback, identify product improvements, and drive continuous product innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop application-specific solutions, including custom configurations, integration interfaces, and control strategies.
  • Assist in the development of technical documentation, including application notes, user manuals, and technical specifications, to support product deployment and integration.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers and partners during product installation, commissioning, and operation phases.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to maintain a deep understanding of market needs and opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and best practices related to engineering and project management.

 What You Bring to the Team: 

  • Must be able to legally work in the United States of America
  • A minimum of 2-5 years experience in a technical role, such as applications engineering, sales engineering, or field engineering, preferably in the energy or power generation industry.
  • Strong understanding of reciprocating engines, energy storage systems, power electronics, and control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools for simulation, modeling, and analysis (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, ANSYS, COMSOL).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and partners.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites, conferences, and industry events as needed.
  • Education, certifications, and experience commensurate with a AE level role. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Highly proficient verbal and written communication skill set

Target Comp Range:

$125,000 to $135,000 base salary + bonus, depending on experience
