Conductor is seeking an energetic and effective People and Performance Director to become a key member of the People team. The key to success in this role is to demonstrate and deliver our People-First ethos and connect our HR function to that methodology. Reporting to the VP of People this is an exciting opportunity to do HR a little differently and to truly bring the ‘Human’ back into the Human Resources.
Performance Management: Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management, including but not limited to: coaching and career development
Compensation and Benefits: Partner with VP of People to ensure equity in compensation & hiring practices by conducting internal and external benchmarking.
Employee Relations: Manage and resolve employee relations issues, and conduct thorough investigations that are well-documented
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Employment laws across all offices (US & UK)
Values and Culture: Drive the People strategy across all programs and processes
Basic HR: Manage human resources daily operations including employee compensation and benefits; 401k plan administration, medical benefits renewal and open enrollment. Oversee orientation and training of new hires, and maintaining health and safety accountability with labor laws
Who you are:
You have 5-8 years direct HR/People Ops experience (startup experience strongly preferred)
Experience working in a high growth, tech-focused and creative environment that places a high value on culture
You are proactive and execution-oriented, have a strong attention to detail and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
Elegant approach to employee relations issues and confidentiality
Great sense of humor and desire to create a fun, positive work space.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate and partner with all levels of the organization
