Job Summary:

Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) for Conductor GmbH
Support and assist as needed with most aspects of accounting management (AR, AP, financial statement preparation, cash flow reporting, technical accounting, tax form review, and other ad-hoc reporting, etc.)
Manage intercompany transactions
Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with local GAAP
Maintain and monitor VAT collection and filing requirements.
Organize and lead preparation of monthly close journal entry process, including balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis of financials and supporting workpapers.
Liaise with external auditors and manage the local annual audit.
Assist in providing support to external tax team for annual tax returns
Manage all accounting and tax compliance filings
Assist in delivering reports for management and external stakeholders
Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies
Utilize accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records
Other ad-hoc requests
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations
Coordinate with external parties, such as banks and regulatory authorities, for financial matters
Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance financial operations.
Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company’s accounting practices remain current and compliant.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, Masters preferable
5+ years of experience in accounting and finance roles, experience in e-commerce is a plus
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
Good knowledge of German GAAP accounting standards (HGB).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Dedication to continuous improvement and a culture of excellence
Business fluency in both German and English
Strong Excel skills
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to see the issues behind the numbers
