We are looking for a driven, talented Junior Management Accountant to help us build our SaaS-based anti-money laundering solutions, which help organizations fight financial crime! We are building cutting edge solutions that help reveal the truth for a safer world and stop money ending up in the hands of terrorists. You will join the Finance Team, being involved in making sure our financial processes run like clockwork.

You’ll spend your time

You’ll work closely with the Financial Controller and Management Accountant to ensure our Accounts Payable and Management Accounts processes run like clockwork, including:

  • Ownership of bi-weekly and monthly payroll reconciliations across 4 entities.
  • Review employee expense claims on a weekly basis, satisfying that they have been coded correctly with appropriate receipts and VAT has been recorded where necessary.
  • Ensuring our VAT, GST, Sales tax and Payroll tax are submitted correctly and in a timely manner, key point of contact for our US expansion plans.
  • Payroll and Sales Tax registrations across US States.
  • Maintaining our staff training and work-from-home budgets.
  • Manage reconciliations between our Romania entity processes versus outsourced accounting.
  • Finance point of contact for our outsourced accountancy partner in Romania.
  • Oversee transactional finance, prepared by the finance assistant.
  • Ownership of Management Accounts and commentary on costs.
  • Updating weekly cash flow reports, as a basis for working capital management.
  • Manage finance systems’ integrity - ensuring all information held is correct, reconciled in a timely manner and updated for any changes we see fit in line with internal policies.
  • Quarterly cost reviews with budget holders to ensure we have future cost visibility accounted for through Purchase Orders.
  • Preparation of monthly cost reports to be shared with senior managers.
  • Maintaining supplier onboarding process, in line with compliance policy.
  • Helping with the preparation for audits.
  • Support our transition to IFRS reporting requirements.
  • Provide ad hoc general support to the Finance function, particularly around month-end reporting.
  • Mentoring and development of our finance assistant.
  • Creating and driving new financial procedures across the company.
  • Making the ComplyAdvantage world a little bit better each day.


The Requirements

Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years working in a Finance department with exposure to mentoring colleagues/direct reports.
  • Process ownership and improvement experience.
  • 1+ years managing payroll processes.
  • Solid transactional experience (AP & AR).
  • Management Accounts exposure.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment.
  • Nice to have: Xero experience and Saas background.
