About This Role
Compass Health Center is looking for an accountant to join our finance team! The accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and month end close process, including journal entries, expense allocations, bank reconciliations, G/L account reconciliations. The role requires attention to detail, timeliness and efficiency while adhering to the standards set by the Company. This position is also expected to be involved in the financial planning, analysis and reporting functions of the organization.
This role will be a standard M-F role, and will be primarily remote, with occasional travel onsite if necessary.
What you'll do
- Support month-end close process including preparation and analysis of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and audit schedules.
- Prepare Actual to Plan reports for multiple departments and collaborate with department leaders to understand and explain the variances.
- Reconcile and maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Assist in the monthly consolidation process of multiple entities and the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flows.
- Monitor business performance to ensure key goals are met, including reporting and managing progress against the company’s KPIs and milestones.
- Ad hoc reporting, analysis requests and special projects.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s in accounting or finance
- 3+ years of experience as Accountant
- Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Financial planning and analysis experience strongly preferred
- Advanced knowledge and experience with excel, including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables
- Strong Analytical skills
- ERP experience – preferably Microsoft Dynamics
- Reporting software experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
