Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.
About This Role
As the Associate Director of HR Operations, you’re at the heart of our organizational growth and success. This is a critical role in leading all aspects of HR processes and technology within the organization as we continue to scale, develop, and implement processes that align with our strategic initiatives. Merging your technical expertise with your passion for people and innovation, you’ll oversee our HRIS system (ADP) and all employee data, compensation, benefits, employee onboarding and offboarding, process automation, data & analytics, and support of new site launches. This role will report to the Chief People Officer and will directly manage a team to help support our growth.

What You’ll Do:
- HR Technology & Systems – Oversee the team that manages our HRIS system (ADP) as well as the integrity of all employee data. Evaluate, implement, and optimize other HR technology solutions to streamline processes
- Compensation – Lead employee compensation processes across the organization including refinement of compensation philosophy, maintenance of salary bands, competitive benchmarking through Payscale, annual merit process, etc.
- Benefits – Lead benefits strategy and implementation across the organization including management of a benefits specialist, close partnership with our broker, development of strategies that enrich the employee experience and reduce claim costs, etc.
- HR Process Optimization – Pinpoint opportunities for HR process refinement and automation. Design, develop, and implement HR process optimization initiatives.
- Data & Analytics - Establish processes for reporting out on key HR metrics. Use data-driven insights to identify trends, address challenges, and drive continuous improvement.
- Policy & Compliance - Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including analysis of new states/markets. Ensure consistent application and effective communication of policies across the organization.
- Team Leadership – Manage, coach, and develop a team, and mentor other People & Talent team members in other functions. Build proactive relationships with leaders across the organization.
Who You Are:
- Bachelors degree
- SHRM or PHR certification preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in HR with at least 4 years of experience in roles focused on HR Operations and HRIS management and 2 years of leadership experience
- Proven track record of managing HRIS systems and effective end to end employee data management practices (Experience with ADP strongly preferred)
- Proven track record or managing employee compensation and benefits processes
- Experience with HR reporting and analysis; advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Extremely organized and detail oriented
- Experience working in a HR start up environment is preferred
- Ability to maintain calm under pressure and flex with the needs of the business/team
- Great communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with leaders and staff
- Ability to see trends in both quantitative and qualitative data and use that data to communicate with the business
- Positive attitude and passion for working in the mental health space
- Ability to prioritize and manage a large breadth of work
- Proficient in basic HR concepts, employment law, tools, and policies
