Overview

As part of a global IT team, the Salesforce Developer will be responsible for design, development, implementation, and maintenance of custom Salesforce solutions that support the business. Along with the rest of the Salesforce team, this role will help ensure exceptional user experience and be a subject matter expert for Salesforce, related integrations, and custom applications.

 

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the cross-functional Salesforce administration team, ensure that the Salesforce platform and integration applications are meeting service levels.
  • Design, develop, and implement custom solutions using Apex, Visual Force, JavaScript, etc.
  • Create and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans, including use cases and test data.
  • Optimizing the system for the long term by using declarative solutions when appropriate and APEX when needed. This includes converting existing APEX into flows when possible.
  • Integrate internal and external systems with Salesforce via APIs, custom code, and/or various ETL tools.
  • Follow and understand Salesforce product releases, technical features, and best practices.
  • Develop, document, and enforce Salesforce application standards and procedures.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers, to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Qualifications 

Minimum Qualifications  

  • 3+ years of experience with the Salesforce platform
  • 2+ years of experience with software engineering skills with Force.com platform (Apex, VisualForce, JavaScript, SOQL, Unit Testing, triggers, scheduled and batch classes)
  • Experience with web services (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, etc.)
  • Current Salesforce certifications related to development such as Platform Developer I
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize tasks within a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Strong desire to continuously learn, grow, and adapt technical skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to present and communicate complicated information in a simple way to team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Additional Salesforce certifications like Platform Developer II, CPQ Administrator, and Advanced Administrator is a bonus.
  • Experience with Marketo and Salesloft
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ a major plus
  • Experience and knowledge of relational databases (e.g. SQL, RedShift), data modeling, and ETL tools (e.g. FiveTran, Celigo, Jitterbit)
