Rithum Retail Media empowers some of the largest brands and retailers around the world to reach their maximum potential through paid search. We are seeking a global leader with Retail Media experience who can drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction by developing and cultivating strategic retailer and brand relationships and delivering customized solutions aligning to their needs.   

Rithum’s Retail Media enables retailers and brands to implement, automate and scale their brand-funded digital marketing programs. We sit at the intersection of marketing and e-commerce and have a singular mission of empowering retailers and brands to maximize their e-commerce performance. The global leader of Retail Media in the Go To Market organization reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, enables Rithum to prospect, engage and develop partnerships with strategic retailers and brands by applying customer obsession to what clients care about and need, ensuring our Retail Media story is valued and understood, and acting to not only close deals but also build successful, long-term relationships.  

The Global Retail Media leader develops and maintains industry connections and customer relationships anchored on connections with C-level executives and Business and Technical Decision Makers in retailers’ organizations. The Global Retail Media leader develops quality pipelining plans laying out revenue and growth strategies.  

Success is measured by specific success indicators focused on pipeline development and signing new deals, emphasizing customer experience, and optimizing opportunities. This leader performs their role with execution excellence to drive client success and business results. They also drive both revenue and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

This is a critical role in accelerating our growth in retail media by signing new retailers and enabling them to rapidly and successfully leverage our technology and services to build substantial revenue streams.  

Strategic Sales Planner  

  • Develops, leads, and executes Retail Media sales strategy & priorities to build pipeline and growth of existing and new products. Purposefully positions outcomes within the context of the retailers’ digital marketing/retail media journey from current to future state. 

Relationship Builder  

  • Influences CMO and Chief Digital Marketing Stakeholders through Relationship Building. Acts as a compelling storyteller, leads with emotional intelligence, communicates with confidence and by effectively listening to identify clients’ end to end needs. 

Sales Leader  

  • Leads Sales planning in collaboration with key stakeholders (Sales Eng, Marketing, Account Management). Plan includes achieving new retailer targets and expanding new share of wallet opportunities across our Omnichannel retail media solutions and incubation products. Works in partnership with key stakeholders to bring the best resources that ensure deal success. 

Sales Closer  

  • Negotiation Planning: Expands the retailers’ view of the importance of Retail Media products and concedes negotiables in an order that ensures benefits to the retailer and to us. Effectively maintains good working relationships with those involved in negotiation; persuading others without using manipulation; & maintaining a positive atmosphere during difficult objections & negotiations. 

Sales Excellence  

  • Leads update of pipeline reviewing top new opportunities, identifying roadblocks, and ensures the right resources are engaged to overcome client objections. Executes sales per expectations against pipeline, new client, and opportunity management goals per the Retail Media Solution Selling guidance for new deals, driving for client verifiable outcomes at each stage. 

Industry Knowledge  

  • Understands Retail Media and broader Digital/Media/Advertising/Marketing Industry patterns/trends, and how they apply to clients and conversations. Expert solution seller, social seller, and sales challenger. Expert in compelling storytelling, selling with empathy and emotional intelligence, critical thinking and thought leadership. 

 

Qualifications 

Minimum Qualifications  

  • 9+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on online media, search advertising, or Search Engine Marketing Sales.
  • Experience in online media or Search Engine Marketing Sales and Service experience.
  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as
  • SEO/Social media etc.) and market research methods
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role within Retail Media at global brand, retailer or agency.
