About the Role

This role will create a pricing structure and product packaging strategy to take advantage of market opportunities to accelerate Comfy’s growth. The role is a unique opportunity to develop cross-functional, and cross-product pricing expertise while getting exposure to a variety of high priority market expansion initiatives. The Pricing Manager will collaborate  with leaders in our strategy, sales and product organizations to  help  craft  new business models and pricing tools, and develop global processes to ensure successful pricing execution. 

Specifically you will:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Comfy products across the platform, including value creation, cost to provide, and competitive positioning
  • Create and define correct pricing models, adjusting when necessary
  • Support global deal reviews and negotiations, evaluating financial performance, expected profitability, and logical discount thresholds
  • Utilize multi-point market inputs and investigate competing pricing models and strategies  to design a global pricing strategy for Comfy
  • Support Comfy’s pricing strategy across channel sales, including setting up initial price sheets, pricing approvals, and discount thresholds
  • Partner with finance to bring pricing and smart contracting together to optimize billing and revenue recognition (ASC-606) 
  • Partner with Customer Success and User Experience teams to conduct qualitative and quantitative customer research to test hypotheses on packaging & pricing
  • Partner with product leadership to identify/prioritize products & features to be packaged and priced
  • Solicit strategic input from cross-functional  internal stakeholders
  • Conduct market research on competitors in similar and adjacent markets
  • Persuasively communicate findings and recommendations to all levels of management through clear presentations and mastery of the qualitative factors that complement your analyses

About You

  • Previously served in a financial role in a rapidly growing SaaS software solution.
  • You are a strategic thinker with a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Serve as a trusted advisor across multiple layers within the organization, both at Comfy, and also with our regional sales and solution offices and the wider Siemens organization worldwide
  • Highly analytical, data-driven mindset to understand the interaction between cost, price, margin, improvement potentials and implications for product management, development, and solution roll-out
  • Exhibit passion that elevates and inspires others about the key importance of pricing for the company
  • Demonstrate high emotional intelligence in all that you do
  • You are an excellent communicator and can distill and present complicated concepts

Your Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or similar
  • 5+ years of pricing or commercial experience
  • Experience with pricing B2C or B2B2C products in an end-user environment
  • Expert proficiency with MS Excel and significant experience with large data sets and supporting tools/languages/scripting languages, e.g. Salesforce Reporting/Dashboards, SQL, Business Objects, Tableau, R, Python
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management
  • Intellectually curious, creative problem-solver who loves to tackle complex challenges
  • Proven track record of working and excelling in high pressure environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver presentations to senior management

Bonus Points For

  • Master Degree  - in Business, Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics
  • Prior senior role in the building products / IoT solutions space or consumer product industry
  • Prior management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, pricing/product strategy or product management experience preferred
  • Deep understanding of the IoT workplace tech space, and competitors such as iOffice/Teem, Mapiq, JCI, Honeywell etc as well as building sensor and analytics from companies such as as Enlighted, CoWorkr, VergeSense, Density, PointGrab
  • Experience with large-scale localization and internationalization.
