About the Position:

Reporting to the VP, Head of HR, the Manager, Talent Acquisition will lead the staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the entire organization.  We are looking for someone who cares deeply about the candidate experience and has widespread knowledge of multiple recruitment focused disciplines from operations to corporate positions as well as an ability to quickly learn complex requirements for specialized roles. The role is a temporary, contract role covering a maternity leave (4 months).

What you do daily:

  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
  • Add to an existing library of company-wide job descriptions and ensures consistency
  • Responsible for job posting and advertisement processes
  • Schedules interviews for all roles and communicates with candidates throughout the interview process
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates, sending to hiring teams for review
  • Oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
  • Completes initial screenings (when necessary) of candidates being consider and makes recommendations to hiring team on candidates to move forward in the process
  • Assists with and drives the interview process, attending and conducting feedback sessions with managers, directors, and other stakeholders
  • Supports Company DE&I initiatives through the recruiting process
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, provincial and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
  • Maintains recruiting databases and ATS (Greenhouse) for recruiting reporting accuracy
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What makes you a good fit: (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required
  • Previous experience recruiting in the telecommunications or Data Center industry preferred
  • Experience recruiting for technology, corporate, sales, marketing, product, facilities, operations, roles helpful
  • Good relationship building skills and proven track record of having partnered with various types of hiring managers
  • Previous experience in a recruiting agency is a plus
  • Experience and proven ability to passively source candidates (LinkedIn Recruiter) a plus
  • An interest in and ability to seek out sourcing opportunities with diverse populations
  • A desire and passion to partner with the business in finding the best talent for our teams
  • Ability to assess candidates over the phone and provide insights to hiring team
  • At least five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred
  • Negotiation and closing techniques
  • Experience working with an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) highly preferred – Greenhouse experience given preference
  • Bilingual French/English strongly preferred
