About the Position:
Cologix is looking for a Technical Manager to join our Accounting team. The position is a working Manager who will report to the Sr. Director of Accounting and will be focused on leading the monthly G/L close process, providing technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, and supporting the Company's Accounting function.
What you do daily:
- Working with, and leading, a team to ensure a timely, accurate, efficient and controlled monthly close process.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance with internal policies through monthly preparation and review of income statement fluctuations, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidations, intercompany transactions, joint ventures, and foreign currency accounting.
- Coach, train, mentor, and supervise staff.
- Prepare period-end financial statements and supporting schedules for investors.
- Support the research, documentation, and accounting for complex transactions in accordance with US GAAP, including revenue recognition, leasing, debt and equity financing, purchase accounting for future acquisitions, etc.
- Assist the Sr. Director of Accounting in the annual financial audit, including the annual audited financial statements, and audit teams requested support.
- Participate in the documentation, monitoring, and implementation of improvements to internal controls.
- Supports, maintains, designs, develops, and trouble-shoots systems and processes to improve the efficiency, timeliness and accuracy of G/L accounting and financial reporting.
- Support the broader Accounting and Finance function when requested through ad-hoc projects.
- Participate in ERP implementation and system enhancements.
What makes you a good fit: (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with demonstrated ability to apply US GAAP to a variety of complex transactions
- At least six years of accounting experience with at least two years in a people leadership role
- Effective people leadership skills and experience
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to interact effectively with various departments and functions, including sales, operations, marketing, IT, and executive teams
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with a focus on Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills; must be able to recognize problems, think critically, and be proactive in finding solutions
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, multitask, set own priorities, and adapt to a changing environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Highly organized, strong drive to learn and passionate about personal success and success of the Company
Preferred:
- Certified Public Accountant with an active CPA license
- National accounting firm assurance experience
- Telecom, data center and/or real estate industry familiarity

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. This position will also be eligible for an annual bonus.
