TITLE: Software Engineer

 

LOCATION: New York, NY, option to work remotely from any location nationally

 

DUTIES: Responsible for building large, scalable applications. Process data at scale and focus on results for continuous improvement. Prepare code reviews and justify design patterns used. Write measurable test cases to validate user stories and assert output on positive and negative results. Deliver quality code, participate in testing, and provide input on the design and approaches taken for software improvement. Understand user persons impacted by code with well-defined user stories and concrete inputs and outputs. Create clean and simple interfaces with designers, intuitive interactions, and experiences. Perform requirements gathering, analysis and planning. Perform development, testing, and defect tracking. Document the various phases in a project life cycle. Deploy applications after code is committed in GitHub. EOE

 

REQTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer or a related occupation. Must include four (4) years of experience with all of the following: Developing scalable, quality web applications; Developing software using Java, Spring, React; Utilizing knowledge in relational databases; Using data science concepts (Spark) and languages (Scala); Performing code reviews, unit testing and build processing with deployment platforms including GIT/BitBucket, Jenkins, RLM, and Sonar; Utilizing full Software Development Life Cycle to design, develop and test high-quality software. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer or a related occupation and two (2) years of experience with all of the above-stated skills.

SALARY: $145,500 - $192,000

 

HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
