Position Overview

The Regional Partnership Director is a key leader on College Track’s regional team and is responsible for cultivating, stewarding and securing partnerships that support College Track’s career readiness outcomes, affordability strategy, and fundraising goals. The Regional Partnership Director will execute a regional partnership strategy that accelerates College Track’s priorities for college student success and regional sustainability. Under the direction of the Regional College and Career Director, this position is responsible for cultivating and managing high leverage partnerships with postsecondary institutions, scholarship organizations and local corporate and community organizations. The Partnership Director will represent College Track at events, conferences and community gatherings to grow brand recognition, identify opportunities for growth and build relationships with key leaders in the local community. The Director is also accountable for ensuring that program staff and students effectively use opportunities from our partners. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships and networking, and combining high-level strategy with hands-on implementation.

Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Partnership Management: manage existing regional partnerships and execute terms of signed agreements, nurture new relationships and lead the cultivation and signing of new partnerships, and maintain a pipeline of all partnership opportunities to include:
    • College partnerships that support CT’s affordability strategy and college student outcomes;
    • Scholarship partnerships that support CT’s affordability strategy;
    • Organizational Partnerships, with corporate and community-based organizations, that develop and foster internship opportunities and corporate for high school and college students
    • Work in collaboration with site-based staff in order to achieve cross-functional priorities.
  • Social Mobility Initiative: establish regional relationships with organizations/companies offering job shadowing, networking opportunities,internships, and employment that help students and alumni connect their academics with possible career pathways.
    • Manage the Corporate Residency and Corporate Fellows programs
    • Work with program staff to develop programs that give students career readiness and exposure needed to experience professional success post-graduation.
    • Liaise with sites to ensure students are connecting with these opportunities.
  • Alumni Relations: collaborate with the National Alumni Director to implement alumni initiatives for the region.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree required; minimum five to seven years of project or program management experience, operations, or community engagement
  • Five to Seven years experience securing high level partnerships and working with senior leadership personnel in organizations preferred
  • Familiarity with fund development preferred
  • Strong networking and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated history of growing relationships from transactional to mutually beneficial
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, including the ability to be flexible and approach new challenges with optimism
  • Results-driven; commitment to utilizing data to inform action
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with people across all levels and organizations -internally and externally
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively
  • Strong interpersonal skills that inspire and motivate others to action
  • Highly skilled at change management; comfortable with ambiguity but effective at driving toward clarity and solution
  • Strong project management skills and experience working across departments and teams to implement new opportunities and champion a partnership strategy
  • Proactive, self-starter with exceptional ability to manage self and schedule.

Additional Requirements

College Track requires that the holder of this position be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as defined by the CDC. College Track will require proof of vaccination from each current and future employee.
