We’re currently seeking a Sealing Supervisor to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the sealing department, ensuring efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and driving results through effective leadership and process improvements. The Sealing Supervisor will play a key role in leading a manufacturing environment with assembly lines, focusing on metric-driven results, team training and motivation.
You’ll report to the Post-Grading Operations Manager and work from our Jersey City, New Jersey office.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain a safe work environment and serve as the first point of contact for incidents, injuries, and/or safety concerns.
- Supervise staffing, training, and development, implementing best practices for training plans and staff management.
- Monitor metrics for team productivity, quality, and efficiency, and drive improvements based on performance data.
- Oversee the operation of machinery, specifically welding machines, to ensure equipment runs smoothly.
- Develop and maintain team morale, creating a positive, rewarding, and cohesive work environment.
- Develop staff skills and create a rewarding and fulfilling work environment
- Implement strategies to reduce errors and improve overall team performance, working with cross-functional teams to develop improvement plans.
- Ensure that all procedures are consistently followed, and develop strategies to enhance team efficiency while maintaining and enforcing company policies as necessary.
- Serve as a reliable and approachable resource for team members, offering guidance and support.
- Work collaboratively across departments to develop and implement improvement plans.
Who You Are:
- 2+ years of Quality, Welding, Machinery Maintenance and/or Leadership experience
- 1+ years of experience leading a team in a warehouse/manufacturing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication, including an ability to understand and relay company policies/procedures
- Dependable and personable team player who works well with both internal and external stakeholders
- Data-driven problem solver with an understanding of general business implications of decisions
- Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing a variety of projects in a fast-paced environment with little room for error
- Strong project management and planning/organizational skills and the ability to develop and execute realistic action plans
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $57,920 - $77,000. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
