This role is located onsite at our Santa Clara, CA headquarters. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the electrical architecture for the robots.
  • Lay out the subsystem interfaces.
  • Own schematics, layout and design of parts of the robot system.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with manufacturing vendors.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical system architecture and design for complex systems.
  • Expertise in electrical system architecture definition.
  • Proven expertise in component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout for custom boards.
  • Strong background in debugging and testing complex electrical designs, with an understanding of hardware design principles such as Signal Integrity and Power Integrity.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams across mechanical, thermal, software, firmware, manufacturing, and testing disciplines.
  • Highly motivated teammate with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, collaborative and dynamic start-up environment as part of a small team.
  • Willing to occasionally travel.
  • Must have and maintain US work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical system architecture and design for robotic systems.
  • Experience with custom SoC PCBA design.
  • Experience with cabling definition and design.

The base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $200,000 plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and experience level. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in Santa Clara, CA. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
