Engineering Managers are the hub of information and communication within their team and across the software development teams. Part people manager, part project manager, they have a technical background and the ability to understand and advise on technical matters.

What you’ll do:

  • Mentor, support and career plan with software developers on your team
  • Managing performance for their team members with regular 1:1s and performance reviews
  • Coordinating roadmap work with Product Managers and Staff Developers
  • Raising concerns to R&D Leadership for team performance or roadmap delays
  • Uphold the best practices and standards of the R&D organization
  • Track, update and communicate project status
  • Coordinate with Product Managers to ensure work is properly defined and ready to build

Who you are: 

  • Previous experience as a Software Developer
  • Deep knowledge of all the steps of a Software Development Life Cycle
  • Highly organized and ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively
  • Experience working in a SaaS software organization
  • Willingness to raise your hand when you see something could be done / built better
  • Previous experience in people management an asset
  • Consistent track record of building and maintaining highly scalable products would be considered an asset
