CoinDesk is seeking an experienced high performing self-starter responsible for endemic sales and client relationships throughout the US outside of the east coast. This is a remote role based on the US West Coast or another agreed-upon destination. The rapidly growing crypto industry is particularly strong in San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles, Austin, Denver and more. As a key member of CoinDesk’s global Partnerships team, the person in this role will manage and grow the existing clients in the territory, identify and build new relationships, and become a leader in the regions' crypto and global investor communities. The person who will thrive in this role has a proven history of creating opportunities and earning the trust of clients.
This role reports to the Managing Director, Partnerships based in the New York City area but will be ideally based in California/Chicago/Austin.
RESPONSBILITIES
- Play the key leadership role throughout the defined region with a heavy focus on delivering client ROI through smart solutions and client service.
- Business development skills to assist client growth from start-up stage to multi-million dollar campaigns.
- Regularly achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Positive and productive collaboration with the global partnerships team is vital, as well as business leads within CoinDesk. We thrive as a team.
- Responsible for representing all CoinDesk products, which includes the Consensus annual event, digital media, video, podcasts, newsletters, thought leadership, virtual & in-person events, and webinars.
- This role is a new position responsible for an existing book of business with high growth potential, as well as new business in the defined region.
- Candidates must be highly productive working alone and handling the start-to-finish cycle in the sales process.
ABOUT YOU
- 10+ years of high-level client facing media sales experience within crypto, global finance, and/or tech sectors.
- Expert level knowledge of crypto industry and client knowledge.
- Must prove an ability to self-manage and self-start. Must also prove organizational skills as it relates to client relationships and internal communication.
- Ability to travel with periodic trips one week or longer.
- Proficient in Salesforce, Excel, Powerpoint, Slack, G Suite.
- Multi-lingual a bonus.
