This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, supporting both the development and execution of our ambitious group-wide and individual business strategies with a mission to amaze customers and be a force for good.

You will experience a unique combination of (i) developing a strategic mindset with a steep “consultancy-like” learning curve, and (ii) learning how “to get things done”, acquiring skills such as the ability to drive profit with purpose business models, support processes end-to-end and see results of recommendations, apply a system change lens to affect change in partnership with others, and work across direct and indirect investing strategies and mature and young operating businesses.

Key responsibilities include:

Support Group Strategy development

  • Support development of strategic insights and decision-making processes for Shareholder/Board/Management Team/CEO on strategic questions\projects
  • Support convening and development of strategic capabilities and ‘champions’ across the group

Support the development of new strategies together with COFRA / Business stakeholders

  • Support the development of various strategic projects:
    • Vertical Strategy topics where relevant (e.g., Responsible Capital, Liveable Cities, Clean Energy, Sustainable Food)
    • Horizontal strategy topics where relevant (e.g., Impact, Innovation, Renewable Energy, Data/AI, How to capture the full potential of the Group)
  • The strategy development you will support will comprise of (i) professional market research, (ii) monitoring and analyses of competitors, (iii) identification of industry trends such as evolving business models, sustainability drivers or emerging digital technologies, (iv) identification of sources of differentiation for our businesses today and in future, and (v) co-creating strategies (both ‘where to play’, and ‘how to win’) together with management teams to sustain or develop market leading positions.

What you bring

  • A robust analytical skillset and quantitative aptitude
  • Advanced practical knowledge of Office 365 applications (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Passion for sustainability and using business as a force for positive societal change
  • Ability to build and maintain trust and act with integrity at all times
  • Desire to work in a dynamic environment along with the ability to get up to speed quickly
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)
  • Master's degree in Business, Strategy, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in (Top tier) strategy consultancy, business and commercial analysis, or M&A

What we offer you in return

COFRA offers notable benefits, including a competitive pension plan. The opportunity itself is a great way to have a direct impact on the Group, and provides a more flexible work/life balance than traditional strategy consulting. Training and development is provided to all employees.

If you fit the profile, we would love to hear from you.
