Team X’ is the name of Omnicom’s newly created integrated worldwide agency team for Mercedes-Benz, with over 400 people working in 44 markets.
To work together, to make ‘The best, or nothing’ Mercedes-Benz value a reality for our client and their customers. This means delivering the most desirable, integrated experiences for new and existing customers through the most progressive combination of luxury marketing, creativity, intelligent planning, data and technology.
Under the ‘Team X’ banner are a host of Omnicom agencies, including RAPP (creative), CODE (data and technology) and OMD (media planning and buying), as well as multiple other Omnicom agencies globally.
This role would suit someone who has hands on experience of working in a marketing agency and directly with end clients.
Working in relatively small units, typically 5-10 people, the project manager will be in integral part of the team. There may be situations where the focus on delivery overrides strict adherence to existing process and we need someone who can rise to the challenge of delivering excellent quality, within deadlines which can be tight! We see this as an opportunity to “rapid prototype” process improvements, flexing the way we work in real time, and learning from the outcomes, rather than an opportunity to abandon process! As a continuing objective we need someone who is process and efficiency focused who can keep the team true to continuous improvement, both in how we produce output, and also the quality of the work we deliver.
We currently work within a framework inspired by, but not in strict adherence to Agile, to ensure we maintain the cadence of planning and reviews and the efficient use of resource.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning and scheduling project timelines. As part of the team, you will evaluate the success of the projects against benchmarks and share lessons or best practice with other teams and project managers.

You’ll continuously monitor progress in terms of the status of the plan and the budget and report back to senior management and the client via weekly or other progress reporting and by organizing and managing status meetings.
- You’ll manage expectations of clients and project stakeholders, be client facing and build a level of respect with your clients.
- You’ll define project scope, goals and deliverables and take commercial responsibility for assigned projects to ensure profitability
- You define and work to statements of work and terms of reference.
- Work with the existing policies and procedures, aligning to the Code way of working, offering and proposing improvements where they can help.
- You’ll conduct project retrospectives and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements and from this, develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- You’ll have an experience of PM in an agency environment with a sound understanding of Agile methodology
- Be able to demonstrate a solid background in defining a project’s scope and goals, planning and scheduling project timelines, coordinating project teams, resource planning and allocation.

- You will have a good understanding of data security issues
SPEAKING UP ON RACISM AND DIVERSITY
At Code we take a strong stand against racism and any type of discrimination. Our mission has always drawn strength from
diversity and welcomed people from every walk of life around the world. We are committed to creating an equitable work environment and leading progress forward on inclusion and diversity. We hope that you have the same position and will also attempt to bring positive change in this endeavor and to transform marketing.
THE INTERVIEW PROCESS
We’re not a 9-stage interview process agency. We like to keep recruitment swift and lean and find that 2 or 3 stages gives all parties the opportunity to get to know each other. Plus, we have a team on hand to answer questions throughout the process.
We are Code. And we can’t wait to meet you!
LASTLY, BUT IMPORTANTLY…
What we need from you: jump in, find problems. Fix them and build relationships. Imagine new solutions, invent them and manage them. Do whatever it takes to go above and beyond. And stand up for individuality.
