Summary
The Software Project Manager is responsible for the delivery, coordination, status reporting and management of complex projects for high-profile clients. The Software Project Manager must be a self-starter and feel comfortable working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, demonstrating an open-mind and a propensity for developing strong team relationships and creating unique customer solutions. The ideal candidate enjoys working with other team members and stakeholders to identify and solve complex user & business challenges and can easily adapt within a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. We’re looking for team player that strives to innovate, holds exceptionally high standards for his/her work, and genuinely enjoys working with a solid, talented team and has a good sense of humor.
Role Requirements
- Lead project management of multiple projects, in a cross-functional environment
- Leverage your knowledge of current web/software technologies and business applications for competitive advantages
- Create project budgets, schedules, and resourcing plans
- Drive project scheduling, resource allocation and forecasting, time entry, and project controls through the standard project management tools to ensure timely delivery and proper budget allocation and capitalization
- Responsible for tracking key project metrics and milestones and proactively escalating functional/quality/timeline issues along with resolution recommendations. Prepares relevant status reports
- Coordinate change requests from original specifications and ensure proper change communication and impact analysis
- Release management and versioning control
- Maintain a high level of trust and confidence

- Familiarity with Scrum process for project teams in a cross-functional environment
- Mitigate project risks by utilizing Agile/Scrum best practices and effective change management techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in project or program management within business application development projects
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and follow-through to completion of tasks and proven track record of managing budgets and timelines
- Excellent time-management skills, including the ability to work on concurrent projects and quickly prioritize competing tasks and responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience managing customer relationships
- Experience interacting with engineers, business analysts, quality assurance analysts, and designers on a highly collaborative development team
- Some knowledge and familiarity of web technologies or languages (HTML, CSS, SQL, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge and expertise of project management methodologies and tools
- Shared passion for building quality, innovative web/software experiences
Plus
- Experience working on highly trafficked, high-profile websites
- Experience managing enterprise-level software development projects from the conception to launch
- Agency or consultancy background
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Asana or similar
- Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) certifications
- Knowledge of various Agile methodologies
