Cohen & Steers’ Legal and Compliance Department is seeking exceptional candidates for a full-time summer associate opportunity. The legal summer associate will gain experience working in the legal department of a publicly traded global asset manager. Major Responsibilities/Activities:
Assist in-house counsel with various legal projects related to the company’s onshore and offshore investment products and services.
Support in-house counsel with corporate governance matters and compliance with public company reporting requirements.
Assist with conducting legal research on new and amended rules and regulations, summarize key highlights, and help formulate organizational response.
Review corporate policies and procedures and suggest enhancements.
Assist the team with routine legal matters, including contract management and marketing material review.
Engage in educational opportunities led by in-house counsel to gain insight on legal functions relating to the company’s registered funds and other onshore and offshore investment products and services.
Minimum Requirements:
Undergraduate student with expected graduation date in 2026.
Interest in working in an in-house legal environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
