As a Senior Account Executive you will play an active role on 1-3+ client accounts (depending on the size of the account). You will develop relationships with clients and actively identify opportunities to solve client problems and proactively advance ideas. You are expected to anticipate client needs by actively following relevant industry trends. In this role you will advance from tactical execution to strategic development with an already established understanding of the difference between outcomes and outputs. You will have an opportunity to guide the professional development of more junior team members on the account team. This is a critical role in account management and moving excellent client deliverables forward.

What you will be doing:

  • Work with clients and internal teams to develop communications strategies, and then support in executing integrated creative campaigns
  • Establish self as a go-to person for regular client needs and serve as a primary point of contact for one or more clients
  • Lead client calls, finding opportunities for junior team members to speak and stepping in as needed
  • Assign responsibilities to internal client teams with clear assignees and deadlines
  • Ensure all client deadlines are met, and quality of work is high
  • Direct multiple client projects at once and be comfortable balancing competing priorities
  • Takes visible and vocal role in developing and presenting to clients (training opportunities, board presentations, result reports, etc.)
  • Identify possible challenges with accounts and make recommendations on how to resolve them
  • Work with account leads and creative team counterparts to help ideate and create campaigns and communications programs across multiple platforms including paid, owned and media
  • Active participant in the business development process for potential clients
  • Participate in the management of our Fellowship program
  • Participate in professional development opportunities for self
  • Support hiring efforts through interviews

  • Participate in business development by helping to develop proposals and join presentations to future clients
  • Make recommendations to advance CLYDE's mission and vision
  • Involvement in CLYDE marketing efforts including participation with the visibility team
  • Crafting awards submissions 

Qualifications/Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years of communications experience; agency experience preferred
  • Excellent written and oral skills  (clarity, precision, and purpose)
  • Knows and uses AP Style; can edit work of junior team members
  • Comfortable with Microsoft and Google office products
  • Comfortable with social media aggregators like Sprout Social, Meltwater, Hootsuite
  • Interested in and comfortable with learning and adopting new tech platforms
  • Experience pitching media
  • Finds opportunities to deliver and receive constructive feedback 
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing and how SEO works
  • Confident in SEO programing, ad-buying, vendor management, and reporting
  • Understanding of website fundamentals
  • Understanding of practical applications of AI
  • Comfortable with digital platforms like Wikipedia, Reddit, Discord, and social media platforms

The salary range for this position is $62,800 - $86,600.
