Research at Clue is diverse including collaborations with researchers at academic institutes (such as Stanford, Oxford, and Columbia) using the Clue app or Clue data to answer menstrual and reproductive health questions, global health research with partners like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to answer questions on pressing public health issues, and clinical research on Clue app features to demonstrate their impact on health.

The Research Data Analyst would work closely with Clue’s Science and Data Teams to develop study analysis plans and conduct analyses for Clue’s in-house research projects as well as support on Clue’s research collaboration work. We are looking for someone with a passion for data and advancing health research for people with cycles.


  • Work with Science and Data Teams to develop study designs that address complex research questions 
  • Write statistical analysis plans, perform sample size estimation, and develop reporting specifications for protocols, study reports, scientific abstracts, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and grant proposals (related to data analysis and statistics);
  • Analyze and perform statistical analyses on big datasets (including tracked health data, app usage data, survey data)
  • Work in close collaboration with other teams such as the Quality and Regulatory Team to ensure analysis, sharing, and archiving of data follow data sharing policies and regulatory requirements
  • Extract, prepare, and transmit datasets for research projects 
  • Support research collaborators in working with Clue data


  • MS with 3+ years (or equivalent) of experience working as a statistician/statistical programmer in clinical trials, medical and/or behavioural research, and/or digital/mobile health industry
  • Experience applying statistical models such as generalized linear models including mixed models, survival analysis, logistic regression
  • SQL query skills (window functions and query optimization)
  • Strong working experience with data analysis, visualisation and statistics in Python or/and R and data-related libraries 
  • Experience with survey analysis design and implementation 
  • Familiar with data management principles and regulatory requirements for clinical trials and medical research
  • Familiar with data anonymization techniques
