Overview
Assists the commodity Technical Designer in managing the department to ensure that the product is made to company fit, style, and quality standards within a set timeline.
Responsibilities
- Review all sample prototypes that are received, regarding construction and fit, and match to detail sheets
- Prepare fit samples prior to fittings by measuring and steaming
- Provide fitting photos, create construction sketches as needed
- Analyze all pre-production samples to meet all requirements as per Club Monaco standards
- Inspect TOP samples to match PP approvals that uphold brand standards
- Maintain consistency of fit standards for the Club Monaco Brand within Women’s Commodities
- Input and update style information in Flex PLM system and create accurate detailed technical packages
- Execute simple pattern corrections and digitize patterns in the Gerber system
- Attend and participate in weekly fittings on live model
- Maintain and update product information, filing systems, computer systems, product library and technical work areas
- Communicate with vendors and agents daily and provide information in a timely manner
- Follow the development and production cycle/timelines to ensure all technical deadlines are achieved
Skills and Requirements
- Minimum two years experience in Pattern Making/Technical Design
- Computer proficiency with MS Office; Outlook, Excel, Word, as well as Gerber, PLM, Web PDM or equivalent, Adobe Illustrator
- Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a team environment
- Excellent English communication skills - verbal and written
- Excellent time management and work ethics
- Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
- Ability to recognize and quickly react to changing work demands
- Goal oriented: ability to stay focused on creating winning results
- Basic knowledge of pattern making, draping, garment construction, grading, and factory production
- Basic knowledge of fabric and yarn construction finishes and techniques
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Club Monaco includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This accounts for the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $60,000 per year to $65,000 per year.
