Summary & Scope
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Planning Analyst to join the Club Monaco Planning & Allocation team. The Business Planning Analyst will be responsible for analyzing sales and key performance indicators to optimize sales performance and drive overall profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail operations, excellent quantitative skills, and the ability to communicate insights effectively. Reporting to the Director of Business Planning, this individual will work cross-functionally with both the Retail, E-commerce, Merchandising, Operations, and Finance teams.
Business Analyst Responsibilities
- Responsible for pulling and publishing the daily sales reporting with accuracy and speed
- Support in the completion and analysis for the weekly and monthly business presentations
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to track progress towards business goals.
- Breakout topline budget from a bottoms up for both stores vs Ecom at a daily level
- Support reforecast process based on current trend and future promotional cadence
- Provide analysis of promotional activity for both stores and Ecom
- Assist in streamlining reporting to allow for improved business analysis
- Analyze sales data, customer demographics, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Develop forecasts and projections to support inventory planning and purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to optimize sales and profitability.
- Prepare and present reports and insights to senior management, providing actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
- Continuously assess and improve analytical processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support in the completion and analysis for the weekly and monthly business presentations
Requirements
- Bachelors degree required
- 1-2 years business planning, retail analytics, or related field experience (preferred)
- Highly motivated with a strong foundation in analytical skills and an aptitude for understanding financial metrics with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- A hands-on problem solver with a willingness to work in the details and find opportunities to change processes to drive efficiency
- Ability to synthesize business performance into key highlights, root cause analysis and action plans
- Proven ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and influence others
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Works well with ambiguity
- Computer proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Outlook, Word as well as the ability to quickly master new applications and systems such as D365, Power BI, Salesforce (preferred)
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Club Monaco includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This accounts for the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $60,000 per year to $65,000 per year.
