Associate, Production Sweaters 

 

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Product Development & Production Associate to join our Sweater team. Main responsibility is to support and assist the Department through the development and production process to ensure team meets deliverables and deadlines.

This role will work closely with Design, Merchandising and Technical Design to achieve margin goals while maintaining the integrity of the product and meeting quality expectations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily Production status charts, goods on order, in progress and in-transit to ensure timely delivery.
  • Assist in seasonal RM orders based on Seasonal sections to ensure on time sampling and within budgeted spend. Manage sample orders at every stage and sample tracking.
  • Review all samples received and check for accuracy, execution, and understanding of Design’s intent.
  • Partner with Design/TD and Merchandising to achieve target cost margin through raw material selection, allocation and product engineering. Manage cost sheet with oversea agent/vendors and cross functional team from Sample, Pre-production to Production stage.
  • Advise Merchandising/Sales on delivery/margin challenges as they arise at a style level and overall company target goals.
  • Receive, confirm and track sales bookings for all markets at multiple stages of the season in work. Work with Planning/Allocation on booking and size breaks updates as well as Merchants for PLM updates.
  • Coordinate with PO-admin to manage purchase order setup, including size breakdowns for distribution to vendors
  • Manage WIP reports from factories to ensure T&A is on track to meet deliveries. (i.e fit stages/bulk yarn/garment production..etc)
  • Attend weekly cross functional meetings covering pre-production and production open issues to meet deliverable
  • Verify and communicate BOM components between design/tech and oversees
  • Communicate and coordinate across multiple categories simultaneously to ensure alignment.
  • Daily communication in specific Open Issue Tool with vendors and communicate all status updates to manager.
  • Review raw material and garment test reports, work to solve failures proactively
  • Assess risk with tech design for new styles/fabrics/compatibility styles
  • Review bulk/sample fabric and trim submissions for approval based on due dates in WIP.
  • Data Entry management in PLM & D365.
  • Manage pre-class and HTS tools
  • Manage production T&A’s and communicating up potential solves
  • Attend all fittings for managed category.
  • Adhoc duties and responsibilities as required to support the team (special projects).

 

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product development and/or production experience in Sweater knit
  • Experience with yarn, basic understanding of technical yarn components of knitting and knit-manufacturing.
  • Demonstrate strong comprehension of Retail math and written/verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, trouble-shooting, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with overseas factories and manufacturing and working w/ factories directly.
  • Be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently as well adapt and react to changing work environment.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads with a sense of urgency and flexibility
  • Proven interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a cross-functional team, and be able to influence and interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Required to be computer proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word.

 

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Club Monaco includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This accounts for the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $60,000 per year to $70,000 per year.
