Club Monaco was recently acquired by Regent, LP, a leading private equity firm based in Beverly Hills.
Please note this is a 5 days in-office position located in New York, NY. 

Responsibilities:

· Assist in developing Omni Channel assortment plans for sales, margin, and inventory to the style/color level in support of productivity and financial targets.

· Collaborate with Merchants and Allocators on preseason and in season plans to align on sales and inventory strategies. Provide team with diagnosis of the business and own suggested course of action.

· Active role partnering with planning peers and management in creating, updating, enhancing tools and process that supports financial integrity and allows for flexibility and innovation.

· Actively listen, engage and respond to business partners and leadership in response to opportunities and challenges.

Preseason

· Develop preseason sales, margin and inventory plans by department/class

· Analyze and report on previous quarter results; identify “missed sales” and growth drivers over prior year.

· Summarize the opportunity and risk of a product plan as it relates to trend and financial metrics: initial mark-up, average unit retail, average unit cost, net margin dollars/rate.

· Recommend style count, cc count and flow of goods for optimal results.

· Effectively communicate support for style level buys as it relates to current trend, historical findings or related categories.

In Season

· Deliver weekly business updates, analyzing trends in relation to the last year/forecast, and spotlighting sales performance that surpasses or falls below expectations.

· Initiate conversations with cross functional partners regarding potential risk or opportunities and suggest changes to course of action for both current and future quarters.

· Prepare sales, margin and inventory forecast and lead team in monthly OTB forecast meetings for current year; provide sales trend opportunity for future quarters, validate stock-to-sales relationships, maximize receipt flow to improve turn, reconcile receipts and suggest pricing strategies to drive profitability.

· Maintain Monthly Key Item Plans to track sales/inventory and forecast potential sales and inventory opportunity/risk.

· Create ad-hoc reporting to provide both quantitative and qualitative context for decision-making.

· Propose markdown and promotional strategies to maximize profitability on the life of an item or category; provide pricing and margin dollar gain/loss scenarios.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree required

· 3+ years of merchandise planning experience

· Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.

· Experience managing OTB and sales and inventory forecasting.

· Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

· Proven ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and influence others..

· Effective analytical skills; adept at distilling extensive datasets into practical and actionable insights.

· Thrive in a dynamic and high-energy work setting.

· Demonstrates proficiency in time management and prioritization.

· Strong technical aptitude, including advanced competency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly master new applications and systems. (Microsoft D365, PowerBI preferred, but not necessary)

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Club Monaco includes a reasonable estimate of the salary for this role. This accounts for the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. 

A reasonable estimate of the compensation is a $80k to $100k base salary.
