About the Job:
Cloudian seeks a Systems Engineer to support sales efforts in the TOLA sales territory. This position works closely with sales personnel. Duties include demonstrations, PoCs, and presentations to prospects regarding technical attributes and capabilities. This role is responsible for sizing a complete solution of Cloudian products based on customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver Cloudian Solution installation/upgrade/migration services to customers/partners
- Provide support for customer issues in conjunction with the Support Team as required.
- Deliver end-user admin and management training
- Deliver business/technical presentations at conferences/tradeshows/webinars
- Authoring of whitepapers for publication
- Engage with PR activities
- Utilization of social media to spread the Cloudian brand to market – Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook, etc.
- Contribute to Cloudian’s Knowledge Base by documenting frequently asked questions, and troubleshooting techniques
- Assist in product QA through intensive work with products as requested
- Raise Jira cases to track product defects/feature requests
- Ad hoc engineering projects based on individual expertise
- Provide staffing support at tradeshows
- Provide product feedback and help to drive product improvements by working closely with Product Management and Engineering
- Respond to community forum posts
- Ad hoc marketing collateral generation – customer case studies, whitepapers, discussion documents, blogs
- Pre-Sales and post-sales consultancy support for reseller and OEM partner-led deals
- Deliver presales and installation training for reseller partners
- Creation of solutions with technology partners
- Expect 2 visits to HQ per annum for team and individual training sessions.
- External training course and conference attendance at the discretion of the manager
Requirements:
- Provide technical expertise working with prospective customers: quickly understand customer requirements and specific configurations to facilitate the proposal of Cloudian based solutions that address customers’ needs.
- Set up, support, and troubleshoot customer POCs, manage POCs towards completion and booking
- Lead and/or participate in customer status calls
- Provide product demos, either in person or remotely
- General storage solution knowledge including data protection, backup, archiving, DR, availability, and performance planning
- Linux OS (CentOS/RedHat)
- IP networking with experience in DNS, Load Balancers, firewalls
- AWS S3 API
- Object storage architecture and deployment
- Occasional evening and weekend work will be required when engaged on time sensitive engagements
