The Path Forward Return to Work program at CloudFlare is an 16- week paid internship for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving.  If you meet these criteria, we welcome you to apply.

 About our Engineering Team

Cloudflare’s Engineering Team builds and runs the software that handles about 10% of HTTP requests on the Internet today. We also build and run the internal tools that builds and runs our software.

The Engineering Team is split into two groups: one handles product development and the other handles operations. Product development covers both new features and functionality and scaling our existing software to meet the challenges of a massively growing customer base. The operations team handles one of the world’s largest networks with data centers in 116 cities worldwide.

About You

We'll consider candidates  with 3-5 years of prior engineering experience for a variety of roles, including: 

  • Solutions Engineer: Strong networking background, experience with pre-sales would be a plus, scripting & API experience or the desire to learn, familiarity with Linux and an understanding of DNS, IP, routing protocols, hosting infrastructure
  • Front End Developer: Experience with modular coding and 1 or more modern javascript frameworks, Unit/integration testing experience and debugging and optimization skills
  • Network Engineer: Working knowledge of routing, including BGP, Datacenter network topologies and some experience in software development for IP networks
  • Data Analyst: Experience translating business requirements to relational database queries, strong knowledge of SQL, basic data manipulation and analysis skills
  • BI Engineer: Experience with the UNIX command line, scripting, relational databases, ETL, SQL

Ultimately, you are passionate about technology and have a knack for explaining complex technical concepts in easy-to-understand terms. You are self-driven, naturally curious, and an avid builder who is not afraid to get your hands dirty.
