About the Department

Account Executives, Business Development Representatives, Solution Engineers, Customer Success, and Sales Operations - all working together help our customers adopt Cloudflare and create great Internet-enabled experiences.

The sales team at Cloudflare helps customers solve real, technical problems while creating the revenue streams that help the company provide free service to millions in our community.

About the Role

Cloudflare is looking for a growth analyst to join its team. Today, we have over six million Internet properties using Cloudflare. Every day, 15,000 new sites sign up. We are looking for our first growth analyst to join our self serve team, which is dedicated to the success of our Free, Pro and Business plan customers. In this role, you will analyze daily business metrics and dig into results. You will support test programs to see if we can improve customer acquisition, retention and growth. You will work cross-functionally to communicate results and identify the next set of projects. This role is a combination of operational and financial finesse.

The self serve team is a small, growing team, so this is a great opportunity to play a big role shaping this business unit going forward.


  • Communicating to various stakeholders (partners, collaborators, and executives) on project status, vision, and results

  • Assembling metrics and dashboards to track the customer lifecycle and programs

  • Analyzing day-to-day financial performance and digging into results to find trends or anomalies

  • Measuring the effectiveness of campaigns and design process improvements

  • Scaling successful test programs across a wider customer base with attention to feasibility and program ROI

  • Communicating with customers on a large scale about the most relevant solutions for their specific business needs


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree a plus. Minimum 3+ years professional experience, with experience working in a technical environment

  • Excel and SQL a must; A|B testing and Google Analytics experience preferred

  • Strong analysis skills – You love to tell stories with numbers and are not afraid of analysis; You can find trends or spot anomalies

  • Experience juggling multiple projects – You can easily manage multiple projects at once and are able to work in a fast-paced, autonomous role

  • Excellent communication skills – Whether it is written, verbal or a presentation, you can easily share the take away with executives, peers or customers

  • You can transition seamlessly between strategic level planning and detail-oriented execution
