We’re working to create a faster, more secure, and more reliable experience for anyone online and given the scale at which we operate, our mission is big. About the Department
Product Strategy is where new, bold, products are built and released within Cloudflare. Rather than being constrained by the structures which make Cloudflare a massively successful business, we are able to leverage them to deliver entirely new tools and products to our customers. Cloudflare’s edge and network make it possible to solve problems at massive scale and efficiency which would be impossible for almost any other organization.
We frequently release new products and have the exciting challenge of seeing they are adopted by our existing and new customers. As a marketer you will have the pleasure of marketing tools which genuinely solve customer problems paired with the challenge of doing it in a fast-moving environment.
You will be the first marketer working within the Product Strategy organization. This role demands leadership and vision to set the direction of our marketing in the pursuit of aggressive goals. It is very well suited to those with experience working in or founding very early stage companies, or those interested in attaining those skills.
Ideally you have:
- 3+ years of experience marketing products or managing growth
- The ability to plan aggressive marketing with limited direction
- Excellent command of the English language
- An understanding of technical subjects
- A kind and generous attitude towards customers and coworkers alike
This is a very self-directed role where you will be expected to drive our marketing vision. You will be expected to:
- Oversee bold product releases at an aggressive cadence
- Manage the ongoing efforts to grow product usage and revenue from the ground up
- Write high-quality email campaigns and content which customers actually want to receive
- Target diverse personas, including highly technical developers and less technical business owners
- Interface with other members of Cloudflare’s marketing and product organizations
What Makes Us Special
We’re not just a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company. We’re a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company with a soul. Fundamental to our mission to help build a better Internet is protecting the free and open Internet. In 2014, we launched Project Galileo, an initiative through which we partner with global NGOs to identify websites at risk of attack and provide the same state-of-the-art mitigation technology already used by Cloudflare’s enterprise customers--at no cost. Project Galileo equips politically and artistically important organizations and journalists with powerful tools to defend themselves against attacks that would otherwise censor their work.
Additionally, in 2016, we announced our partnership with Path Forward, a nonprofit organization that works with companies to create 18-week positions for mid-career professionals who want to get back to the workplace after taking time off to care for a child, parent, or loved one. With the lofty goal of shaping the future of the Internet, we’re focused on recruiting the best and the brightest, no matter what.
