CloudBees is looking for a Technical Alliance Manager to join the CloudBees Business Development team.   The position involves working side-by-side with business development, marketing, sales, product and engineering teams, uncovering and developing opportunities by articulating the technical options for joint partner solutions. While this role requires technology depth and awareness, this is a role that will help drive revenue.  The ideal candidate will have been involved in the continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps space with strong interpersonal skills. Prior technical sales experience would be helpful.

This is an amazing opportunity for a sales engineer to become an expert in what’s soon to become the future of software development, and to also work closely with recognized experts in the continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps markets.

This person should be able to evaluate partner technology solutions for ultimately determining potential joint solutions that make sense for us.    Once assessed this person will work with Business Development leadership to build business proposals to request product | engineering assistance.



  • Become an expert on all things related to Jenkins and/or CloudBees product lines, continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps
  • Serve as a technical liaison between sales, business development, marketing, engineering and CloudBees alliance/TAPP partners
  • Field more advanced technical questions from partners to support business development 
  • Understand the company’s products, competitors, value proposition and positioning
  • Assist the Partner team on calls relating to partner integrations 
  • Develop and Maintain technical FAQ for all partner related launches to help support common questions
  • When recurring questions are identified, writing technical content to increase the Knowledge Base and creating videos/webcasts and other content
  • Work with the product team to identify product priorities discovered in partner engagements
  • Attend and support trade shows, when appropriate
  • Deliver regular demos of the product  and partner integrations(Google Hangout, webcast, Zoom conference etc.)
    Write technical content to support business proposals, datasheets, whitepapers and any launch content.
  • Support technical webinars


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience with continuous integration and its real-world role in delivering software
  • Familiarity with DevOps and its associated toolchain , such as Jenkins or other deployment automation technologies, as well as with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of agile development processes and how organizations adopt and implement those processes
  • 20% travel
